You too are gone

“Mesmerizing how
You could have once survived
Without someone
Who came into your life,
Like a blessing in disguise.

People come and go randomly,
Quick and sharp, shifting vacancies,
For I have realized no one seems
To be strong enough to hold on,
In the end, they all seem to let go.

The truth is, once you were here
But now you too are gone,
And all I got left is an empty place
You have left behind for me to face
Whilst trying to understand how
I could have once lived without
Having you around
Knowing that now
I have to do it again somehow,
Aware of your existence
In another town,
Breaking my heart,
Aching my reason,
To accept the distance.”
